Chapters of My Life
Matt Venema’s journey is a testament to the power of dedication and a commitment to service. From a joining the fire cadet program shortly after 9/11 in Northern California to crisis response across the country, Matt dedicated nearly two decades of his life to public service as a Firefighter & Paramedic. His early career saw him serve with multiple government agencies from Cal Fire to the San Francisco Bay Area and Stockton.
He’s participated in notable deployments, including being a founding member of the FEMA Special Operations Team, management of incidents like Hurricane Katrina, and other significant responses across California, Texas, Louisiana, Nevada, Oregon, Arizona, and the Pacific coast.
After retiring from public service in 2023, Matt fully transitioned into the business world where he continued his mission of service through various ventures.

My Athletic Journey
In addition to his professional endeavors, Matt has a rich history of involvement in coaching youth sports and community activities. A dedicated volunteer, he has made significant contributions to his local communities, fostering a spirit of teamwork, integrity, and excellence.
His own family reflects this champion spirit, with his children excelling in sports and academics. His eldest earned a football scholarship to college, while his younger children, are already showing promise in their respective activities.

Matt’s life is deeply rooted in family values. He and his wife, along with their three children and two Cane Corso dogs, Kona and Bane, have made North Texas their home. Here, he continues to do the same, reflecting his continuous drive to create positive change in every community he touches.
Matt’s journey is not just a career, but a life committed to service, leadership, honor, and unwavering dedication to his family and community. His impact continues to be felt across various fields, inspiring others to strive for excellence and give back to their communities.
